Financial advice services

You can access telephone-based financial planners, through Momentum Financial Advice (licensed through GWM Adviser Services), for the following types of financial advice:

Telephone advice

1. Investing in financial products

A telephone-based financial planner can help you with financial product information where you just want to begin a financial product.

For example, if you have chosen a financial product, the telephone-based financial planner can outline the features and applicable fees. This service does not include personalised financial advice.

The financial planner can help you complete and lodge your application with the product provider. This telephone-based financial planning service is provided by GWM Adviser Services at no cost to you.

2. General financial product advice

A telephone-based financial planner can provide you with general information about superannuation, insurance or investment choice.

This advice is provided without taking account of your personal circumstances. Such advice is provided at no cost to you.

3. Personal advice

In certain circumstances, a telephone-based financial planner can provide limited personal financial advice. If personal advice is provided, the telephone-based financial planner will:

  • need detailed information about your personal circumstances;
  • conduct a needs analysis; and
  • create a risk profile for you over the telephone.

Face-to-face advice

Financial planners can prepare a written Statement of Advice (SOA) for you. Your first appointment is at no cost to you.

For face-to-face financial advice, you may be referred to financial planners through the Momentum Financial Advice service. Your first appointment is at no cost to you. This may be negotiated with the financial planner. Financial planners may be representatives of GWM Adviser Services, or of other licensees.
